Meet the Girls Behind HNO MANOR

Sofia Chakir spent her first HNO MANOR shoot celebrating her birthday at a mansion, where she met someone who would become her best friend. As introductions go, it would be difficult to improve upon.
“I met my bestie there!” she recalls. “And it was on my birthday at a mansion. Such a fun day.”
The memory is a good place to begin with Sofia, who returns to friendship throughout her answers. The clothes brought her to the Manor through Instagram, but feeling welcome and getting to know the other girls made the experience personal.
Getting to Know Sofia
At 23, Sofia is a college student in California whose interests include travel, fashion, art, and history. She loves anime, shopping, and spending time with her friends. Learning is something she describes as a passion, alongside the places and creative interests she wants to explore.
She calls herself outgoing and true to who she is, and takes much the same approach to getting dressed.
“Just genuinely wearing what makes me happy,” she explains.
Her style draws heavily from the 2010s, an era she remembers fondly for far more than its clothes. Asked to choose between 2003 to 2009 and 2010 to 2015, she goes straight for the latter.
“My favorite era of music, fashion, social media, celebs, and everything else!”
A Particular Kind of Nostalgia
Sofia is quite specific about where she sees herself in that fashion history. Although she loves the originality, versatility, and bold colors associated with Y2K, she places her own style a little later.
“I don’t think it’s true Y2K, but I’d say the aesthetic that represents me best is 2010 to 2016 IG baddie era.”
It’s a distinction worth keeping. The years often get folded together now, but Sofia knows which version she wants to revisit. For her, the appeal includes the music, personalities, and social media culture surrounding the fashion.
Within the Manor wardrobe, the black HNO MANOR tracksuit "Punk Princess" is the look she feels most herself in. Fur is her first choice when asked to pick a Manor obsession, and wearing the brand makes her feel, in her words, “like a 2000s it girl.”
Finding Her Girls
When we ask about her favorite memories from the Manor, Sofia talks about the welcome she received and the pleasure of spending a day with the other models.
“Meeting all the beautiful girls, feeling so welcome, and having a fun girls day.”
Her first shoot gave her a birthday memory and a best friend. That helps explain why, even when the questions turn to what happens behind the camera, it’s the people she remembers first.
It’s also the part of a campaign that photographs can only tell you so much about. For Sofia, being on set has meant getting dressed, taking pictures, and finding girls she wants to spend time with once the shoot is finished.
In Her Own Words
Right now, Sofia is working toward her health and fitness goals. She describes it simply: “I want to be the best version of myself I can be!”
That same thought appears when we ask what being a Manor Girl means to her.
“It means being the best and most confident version of myself!”
There’s a consistency to her answers, whether she’s talking about clothes, friendships, or her own goals. Sofia wants to feel happy in what she wears and confident in who she is! We’re pleased the Manor has become part of that story.
